Sending an SMS through a web interface

Question:

I want to send an SMS using a web site. I do not want to use teleflip.com because it uses up too many characters to send sender's email address etc.

Answer:

Look at the recipient's phone service web site. E.g. if your recipient has phone service from Cingular, use the Cingular's site.
Note, that many Cingular customers are former AT&T Wireless customers. You need to use a separate web page for them.

North American Carriers:

Send an SMS to former AT&T Wireless customers (now Cingular):
http://www.mymmode.com/messagecenter/init.do

Send an SMS to other Cingular Customers:
http://www.cingularme.com/do/public/send

Send an SMS to Sprint/ Nextel Customers:
http://messaging.sprintpcs.com/textmessaging/compose

Send an SMS to Verizon Customers:
https://www.vtext.com/customer_site/jsp/messaging_lo.jsp

Russian Carriers:

Send an SMS to an MTS Life Customer:

If you want to use an email client, and not rely on teleflip.com, use these email addresses. E.g. if your friend has phone number 41512134567 from T-Mobile, then address the email to 41512134567@tmomail.net:
